How i feel about chapter 1

         Chapter 1 of "Pride and Prejudice" is relatively comfusing since its mainly consisted of the dialogue between Mrs. and Mr. Bennet. However, the plot gradually gets cleared up and coherent as they were discussing from how the new arrival of Mr. Bingley relates to the royalities and the heir of his wealthy uncle and aunts to intrigueing their daughers Elizabeth and Darcy to engage with him. Accoridng to the vivid descrption of the dialogue by Jane Austin, its obvious to assert her acrimonious bitter satire towards this couple and convey her contempt on the materialistic beliefs. 

        Recently, I read just the first half chapter of “Pride and Prejudice” which written by a well-known English writer----Jane Austen. The old style English was kind of hard to understand and the introduction was somewhat ambiguious to me, however, with repetive amount of reading, the novel gratually started to making more sense. So far the very beinging of the book was interestingly introduced by stating " It is a truth universally acknowleged, that a single man in possession of a good fortune must be in want of a wife". This lampoon was writen back more than a hundred years ago, still satired the issues of what people having with their relatioships this day. Pretty interesting, cant to find out what is really going to happen later on in this book.

America, Is it really a land of freedom?

      Although America is supposed to be seen as a "free country" in fact, it would be hypocrasey to call it such due to the fact that in this country Gay rights are extremley limited. For example, gay people cannot marry others of their choice, and if they want to do so they must travel to the 4% of the country that allows gay marriage or even to those eastern Europe that was ironically been dubbed as "communist". In a way, this can be called discrimination because a priest, rabi or what not will simply not marry a gay couple just because they are the same gender. In addition gay people in America more often then not get the short end of the stick.

     There have been too many times to name when a gay guy interviews for a job and forgets to drop the accent (the gay accent) which in turn ends up screwing him over. Many employers feel it is unnessacary to hire gay people and therefore they suffer for being who they are in this so called "free country". It is harder for gays to get around without being stared at, or even made fun of. Overall gay rights are squeezed to maximum which is why I think many Americans are yet to come out of the closet.

Is it really going to get better as the way how people react with gay people right now?
